Bridgenorth use two stainless steel buttons, so they last a long time in the saltwater environment. The bailer has oil resistant seals, so bilge oil will lubricate the seal instead of rotting it away. It telescopes to half it's extended length so it will fit into places other boat hooks won't. The primary use for the Birdgenorth Bailer is as a boathook, and with the locking system it uses it's by far the best boat hook on the market, when you add to that the ability to wash the muck off your anchor and chain, blast your neighbor in a water-fight, pump out those hard to reach places or wash down the decks (you can even bail out the dinghy while standing on deck!).
They come in two sizes. The five foot unit (1.5metre extended size), and the 8 foot (2.4 metre extended size). They both collapse almost in half, so they are easy to store. The end is also threded to attach the Bridgenorth Brush which has a hole in it so you can add water or soap as you brush (or any standard 3/4" deck brush can be used) .
